Mexican Government declares May 28 “National Day for Women’s Health”

During 2015, the Interior Ministry of Mexico made public through the Official Gazzete that May 28 would be declared the “National Day for Women’s Health.”

In the document published in the Official Gazette, the agency states that the order will enter into force on December 31st 2015, in compliance with the provisions of Section I of Article 89 of the Constitution.

The Chamber of Deputies approved last December 3 the recommendation for the Senate to establish that May 28 be declared as the National Day for Women’s Health.

The document, endorsed unanimously, with 375 votes in favor, stems from an initiative presented on 5 March by Senators of the PRI, PAN and PVEM.
