CSE: Essential, Not Optional
This forum is convened by the Women’s Global Network for Reproductive Rights (WGNRR) and the Center for Reproductive Rights (CRR) through the Asia Division as a contribution to national efforts to protect Filipino adolescents’ human rights to sexual and reproductive health. It situates the Philippine CSE struggle within the global demand: that health systems, including sexuality education, be strengthened rather than weakened in times of polycrisis; that SRHR be treated as essential, not optional; and that the rights of adolescents to accurate, inclusive, and rights-based information about their bodies, health, and personhood be non-negotiable.

Advocacy Working Session for the International Day of Action for Women’s Health
This working session, co-facilitated by PILS and UNFPA, is organized in the context of the International Day of Action for Women’s Health 2026. The event aims to create a safe and inclusive space for open discussions on women’s and girls’ health, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), access to services, stigma, discrimination, and dignity of care in Mauritius. Through interactive discussions, community voices, and collaborative roadmap exercises, participants will contribute to identifying key priorities and recommendations for advocacy. The outcomes of the session will support the development of a white paper, advocacy notes addressed to ministries, and media awareness initiatives.
The press releases and press actions will be held during the week of 28 May 2026.

One girl one pad : Breaking stigma and Ending Poverty in Rural Communities for #May28
The One Girl, One Pad campaign culminates on May 28 with the Firefly Dignity Gala. This event uses youth-led drama and spoken word to break menstrual taboos. We will distribute Dignity Kits of reusable pads to 50 vulnerable girls and conduct community dialogues to ensure rural girls can manage their periods with pride and stay in school.
We are moving from charity to policy change by securing the ""Break the Silence"" Pledge from local leaders. We advocate for local governments to include menstrual health in public budgets and for schools to provide menstrual-friendly facilities. Our goal is to establish reusable menstrual products as an essential health right for all girls.

Our Voice, Our Health: Women Speaking Up From the Grassroots
This is for us — the women and girls in our markets, churches, schools, and compounds. For too long, decisions about our bodies, our health, and our lives have been made without us.
"Protect Our Voice, Protect Our Health" means we must be able to talk openly, be heard, and decide for ourselves. When a mother in the market can speak about her health without shame, when a young girl in school knows her rights, the whole community grows stronger.
We are calling on everyone at the grassroots and the global community to stand up for women’s voices, health, and dignity. When we protect our women, we protect lives, we protect the future
