Learning series on Law and SRHR with CSO and law practitioners to look at the intersection that sits at the heart of abortion access in India today: the relationship between the Bharatita Nyaya Samahita 2023 and the Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTP) Act, 1971 and its 2021 Amendment where they speak in harmony, where they contradict each other, and what those contradictions mean in practice for the agency and autonomy of the abortion seeker.

Women’s Wellness Event

On March 28th, we will be holding a 1-day event that will highlight the loopholes that exist in the context of women’s sexual and reproductive health, and rights, and what individuals can do to close these loopholes, and to educate others about their existence. The goal will be to sensitize participants of the event, using edutainment, in order to unite in solidarity, to defend women’s reproductive rights.

In continued observance of Menstrual Health Day and the International Day of Action for Women’s Health, this solidarity afternoon acknowledges that advocacy is a marathon, not a sprint. To prevent burnout and foster a resilient movement, we are intentionally carving out a care space to reconnect with ourselves and each other. We recognize that our collective well-being is the very foundation of the health systems we seek to transform.
